MODERN SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT Ltd. was incorporated in 1978 as an independent
field office of BARBER COLMAN for the Province of British Columbia. Since
that time MODERN SYSTEMS has acquired an extensive building base of installed
equipment through professionalism and expertise in the heating, ventilating
and air conditioning (HVAC) temperature controls industry for commercial buildings.
We continue to support Pneumatic and Electric control systems and specialize in
the design and installation of state of the art Internet based Building Automation Systems.
Our open, standards-based technology enables customers to integrate heating and cooling,
access control, security monitoring, ventilation, fire and smoke control, and lighting
across enterprises.
Complete local in-house capabilities are the reasons we excel at helping our
customers achieve their goals; and help them obtain the long-term benefits they
expect and deserve from their investment in the Building Automation and environmental
control systems we have installed in their facilities.
Our local in-house capabilities include Design Build, Pre-engineered Proposals, System Design
and Installation, Project Management and Coordination, Programming and Commissioning,
Site Startup and Technical Assistance, Customer Training, Warranty Support, and ongoing
post-construction support and service.
Our post-construction support services are tailored to the specific needs of a wide
variety of commercial buildings. Larger facilities tend to have technicians on staff
capable of handling system maintenance. For those facilities we provide "On Call"
service support options at the discretion of the building owner. Other facilities can
take advantage of our full system support, with or without a formal Service Contract;
and we do manage complete HVAC mechanical systems for a limited number of selected
facilities.
With more than 25 years of continuous representation, we have successfully
automated hundreds of buildings throughout British Columbia and the Yukon
Territories. Our factory trained personnel design, install, and service solid state,
electric, pneumatic, and Direct Digital Control systems for all types of commercial buildings.
