2010 BOMA National and International TOBY Award

The winner of the 100,000-249,999 square feet category of the Office Building BOMA Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) Award, Manulife Place is located at 1095 West Pender Street in downtown Vancouver, British Columbia. The Class "A" building offers 22 floors of rentable office space, southwest and northwest views of Coal Harbour and the North Shore mountains and close proximity to SkyTrain, Seabus and Westcoast Express transit options.

The TOBY awards honour performance in office building management and operations. Eligibility for the award at the international level requires each building to win their respective local and regional contests. Contenders are assessed by building size and performance in multiple areas, including energy management systems, community impact, accessibility for disabled people, building personnel training programs and other quality indicators. A panel of industry experts inspect the property in each criteria.

Manulife Place was one of the first buildings in Canada to be "Go Green" certified in May 2004 and had its certification upgraded to "Go Green Plus" in December 2007. It is currently rated as a BOMA Best, Level 3 building. In addition, the BC Hydro Power Excellence Award for energy-saving initiatives and BOMA BC Earth Award for environmental initiatives were awarded in 2006.
